DescriptionThe whole story▼

The CRF450X is Honda's enduro version of the 450, a machine meant for trails and long days rather than for a twenty-minute moto. Accossato's list for it has a shape of its own: the AGS11 clutch lever is given for 2005 to 2008 and then again for 2019 to 2021, with nothing in between. That is worth knowing before you order, because the model year decides whether this silver replacement clutch lever in the original shape belongs on your CRF450X or not.

Key Features

  • Clutch lever of the original type for the Honda CRF450X
  • Two separate entries at Accossato, 2005 to 2008 and 2019 to 2021
  • Silver
  • Left-hand side, cable clutch
  • From Accossato's original spare parts type range
  • Accossato reports greater resistance after damage or a collision, owing to the way it is made
  • A single lever in the pack
  • No German ABE or test mark available; for racing and competition

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato lists the AGS11 among its original spare parts types, a description that says what the part is for: it reproduces the outline of the clutch lever Honda used, so the left-hand side of the CRF450X returns to standard. Good value was the aim of the range, and the company states that the manner in which these levers are manufactured increases their resistance after damage or a collision. The AGS11 is silver. Accossato names no material and gives no dimensions, and we leave that gap open rather than filling it.

A Gap in the Years

Gaps like this one are common in lever catalogues. They usually mean that the shape of the part changed somewhere in between, or simply that the maker of the spare has not confirmed those years. Either way the honest answer is the same: we pass on what Accossato publishes and no more. For an owner it comes down to two checks. First, establish the model year of your CRF450X properly, from the papers rather than from the year you bought it, because bikes are often sold in the year after they were built. Second, if your year falls inside one of the two spans, compare the lever on the bike with the product photographs before ordering, paying most attention to the end that sits in the perch. If the year falls in the period Accossato skips, this lever is not confirmed for your machine, and we would rather tell you that than take the order. A photograph sent to us beforehand settles most cases in a few minutes.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato gives two separate entries for the AGS11 on the CRF450X, 2005 to 2008 and 2019 to 2021. No original-type brake lever from Accossato is listed for this model at all, so the right-hand side is not covered by this range. The AGS11 also appears with us under the CRF250R and the CRF450R. If a tuning part is what you are after, Accossato catalogues the CNC brake lever B8206 and the CNC clutch lever C7210 for the CRF450X.

Road Approval

No approval paperwork for the AGS11 is held by us, so neither a German ABE nor a test mark can be quoted, and the lever is listed for racing and competition.
