DescriptionThe whole story▼
Organic front pads by Accossato for the KTM 790 Duke, model years 2018 to 2020. KTM nicknamed its parallel-twin naked bike the Scalpel, and it is sharp enough for a track day, yet most 790 Dukes spend their lives on the way to the office, around town and on easy evening rides. For that daily routine, the Organic mix is a sensible pick. Accossato credits it with longer performance and reduced wear on the discs, which keeps running costs low on a bike that racks up everyday mileage.
Key Features
- Organic mix for the twin front calipers of the KTM 790 Duke
- Fits the 790 Duke from 2018 to 2020
- Longer-lasting and kind to the discs, per Accossato
- Soft, progressive feel in urban traffic
- Low noise on the daily ride to work
- Two front calipers: two boxes for a complete change
- Same pad also available as ST, EV1, EV2 and ZXC
Construction and Material Quality
Organic is the Accossato recipe for riders who value durability. The Italian maker's claim focuses on long service and on keeping disc wear down. On a 790 Duke used every day, that stretches the interval between pad changes and helps both front rotors stay in good condition. Each pad pairs its friction lining with a stamped metal back that seats in the KTM front caliper.
The Scalpel on a Weekday
Monday to Friday, a 790 Duke is often just transport: rolling through traffic, stopping at lights, filtering between lanes. Here the front brakes work at low speed, frequently from cold. A progressive Organic lining handles that calmly and quietly. For wet commutes and pillion trips, ST offers a steadier bite; for the track days the Duke begs for, EV1 is the step up.
Renewing Both Sides
The 790 Duke brakes with two front discs, so one box covers only one caliper. Buy two and fit both sides at once. Clean the pistons before easing them back, pump the lever until firm and bed the linings in with a few calm stops. Check the fluid reservoir level afterwards.
Fitment and Compatibility
Suitable for the front calipers of the KTM 790 Duke from 2018 to 2020, according to Accossato's reference DUKE 790 (2018-2020). Two boxes are needed for the two calipers. For the back wheel of the 790 Duke, Accossato lists pad AGPP91 for the same years.
Road Approval
We hold no German ABE and no test report for these pads, so they are sold for racing and competition.
