DescriptionThe whole story▼

The end of the straight is where a motocross front brake earns its living. On the GasGas MC 250F, the four-stroke built from 2021 to 2026, the rider arrives at a line of braking bumps with the lever already covered and has to shed speed while the front wheel skips across ridges that have been cut deeper by every lap of the day. Accossato's front article for this machine is the AGPA29, and AGPA29OR carries the Organic material, which the company connects with a long working life and with a disc that is not worn down beneath it.

Key Features

  • Front brake pads for the GasGas MC 250F of 2021 to 2026
  • Article AGPA29OR: the AGPA29 front plate in the Organic material
  • Accossato names stamina and a disc that keeps its thickness
  • A sensible choice for training laps and club-level race days
  • The four-stroke MC 250F, which Accossato writes as MC 250 F
  • One front caliper on the bike, filled by the pair in the box
  • ST, STMX and EV1 offer other materials on the same plate
  • No ABE recorded in our files; supplied for competition

Construction and Material Quality

The two things claimed for this material both describe longevity rather than outright force, and at the front of a motocross bike that is a legitimate priority for a rider who is not racing at the sharp end. Accossato presents the Organic version as the one that stays in service and that spares the rotor it works against, and a front disc on an MC 250F is a thin, exposed part that collects roost from the bike ahead. The plate is the standard AGPA29 carrier used by every version of the article, so a change of material never turns into a question of fit.

Bumps at the End of the Straight

Those ridges grow all day and they teach a rider more than any other part of a track. The front wheel is loaded and unloaded several times a second as it crosses them, so the grip available at the tyre keeps vanishing and returning, and a rider who grabs at the lever will find the wheel locked at the moment the suspension is extended. The technique is a firm initial squeeze followed by careful release, repeated at every approach for the length of a session.

That rhythm is also a maintenance schedule. Check the front plates at the end of a session rather than at the start of the next one, when there is no time to do anything about what you find. Keep the disc free of oil and chain lubricant, wipe the caliper area instead of blasting it, and when a set is renewed, fit both plates and then squeeze the lever repeatedly until it firms up before the bike is ridden anywhere at all.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the AGPA29 at the front of the MC 250F for the model years 2021 to 2026, writing the name as MC 250 F in its own tables. At the rear of the same machine the article is the AGPP80, covering the same span, so a rider replacing pads at both ends needs two different numbers. No brake disc for this model appears in the programme. The bike carries one front caliper, which the pair in the box completes, and a rider unsure of the shape should read the number from the pad that comes out.

Road Approval

No ABE and no German examination report for the AGPA29OR is held here, so the set is sold for competition and for riding away from public roads.

Scope of Delivery

Two AGPA29 pads in the Organic material, one set for the front caliper of the MC 250F.
