DescriptionThe whole story▼
Not every cruiser owner takes it slowly. Some Suzuki C1500 Intruder riders enjoy hustling the big V-twin through bends on country roads, and a few take their customised cruiser to a track day or a sprint event. Accossato lists front pad AGPA72 for the 2013 to 2018 C1500 Intruder, and the EV1 street/track version gives a firmer, more direct bite for riders who brake harder than the average cruiser owner.
Key Features
- Front pad AGPA72 for the Suzuki C1500 Intruder, 2013 to 2018
- EV1 street/track compound, article number AGPA72EV1
- Accossato: excellent grip for street and amateur track riding
- Firmer bite for spirited riding
- Suits customised and sport-minded cruisers
- Also for occasional track or sprint events
- OR, ST and EV2 are offered for this plate
Construction and Material Quality
EV1 is described by Accossato as giving excellent grip on the street and at amateur track level. On a heavy cruiser ridden with enthusiasm, the benefit is a front brake that responds quickly when the rider asks for more. Accossato adds that its pads wear slowly, resist fade through limited heating and stop strongly.
A Cruiser with Attitude
Custom scenes have long had a sporting side: cruisers with upgraded suspension, lower bars and rear-set pegs that are ridden hard on mountain roads. A C1500 Intruder built in that spirit needs a front brake that keeps up with the rider's ambitions.
A street/track compound gives a more immediate response than a touring pad. It still works on a cold morning ride, but it feels at home when the pace goes up.
If you modify your Intruder's front end, for example with a different fork or wheel, check that the caliper is still the one Accossato lists AGPA72 for.
Heavier bikes reward good technique: set up the stop with a light initial squeeze, let the fork settle, then add pressure. A pad with a quick response makes that sequence feel natural on the C1500.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's listing for AGPA72 covers the front of the Suzuki C1500 Intruder from 2013 to 2018; AGPP251 is the rear pad for that model. A box holds one caliper's set, so check how many front calipers your bike carries. Clean the pistons before pressing them back and pump the lever until the pressure is back.
Road Approval
We do not hold an ABE or German approval for this compound. It is sold for track and competition use.
