DescriptionThe whole story▼
Of all the V7 III variants, the Racer invites a quicker pace, with its low bars and sporting stance. Accossato's EV1 street/track compound suits that temperament. These pads fit the front caliper of the Moto Guzzi V7 III Racer 750 from 2017 to 2020 and are aimed at riders who attack a favourite back road on Sunday and might book an amateur track day to explore the bike further.
Key Features
- EV1 street/track front pads for the Moto Guzzi V7 III Racer 750
- Listed for 2017 to 2020
- Accossato: excellent grip for road riding and amateur track sessions
- Firm, direct response for a sporting riding style
- A step between road pads and pure race compounds
- Two pads per box, one caliper
- Rear pad AGPA28 and disc DKS032 listed
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes EV1 as a compound with strong grip for road use that can also handle amateur circuit riding. It is intended for riders who stop later and harder than the average commuter and who want the lever to answer at once. The pad is designed to keep its output steady as the disc warms up.
Living Up to the Name
The Racer's riding position encourages you to tuck in and carry speed through bends, and that places more demands on the front brake at the entry of each corner. EV1 is designed to provide a crisp, clear bite that helps you set your entry speed precisely. On a track day it gives some headroom before a dedicated race pad is needed, making it a sensible choice for riders who split their time between road and circuit. Keep in mind that more bite rewards a smooth squeeze of the lever rather than a sudden grab.
Bedding In
After fitting, make a series of stops from moderate speed, each a little firmer than the last, with short cool-down rides in between. This transfers an even layer of pad material to the disc and gives the full response from the start.
Fitment and Compatibility
Front fitment for the Moto Guzzi V7 III Racer 750, 2017 to 2020. Accossato names the V7 III 750 Racer with a longer year span; this item is listed for 2017 to 2020. One caliper per box, so count the front calipers on your bike. This pad also exists in OR, ST, EV2 and ZXC. Accossato lists rear pad AGPA28 and disc DKS032 for the Racer.
Road Approval
We do not have a German ABE or test certificate for these pads and therefore sell them for racing and competition use.
