LS2 FF811 Vector II Helmet – Alizer Matt Black/Blue

The same layered Alizer planes, this time in deep blue over matt black. The blue is dark enough to read as navy in dull light and only shows its colour properly in sun.

A four-star shell in six sizes

Underneath the paint sits high-performance fibreglass composite. Fibreglass absorbs energy differently from carbon and is the reason this helmet reaches a four-star SHARP rating at a road price rather than a race one.

LS2 tools six shell sizes for this model, which is the expensive way to do it. The payoff is a helmet that sits close to the head at every size instead of only in the middle of the range.

About the Alizer Matt Black/Blue finish

Dark blue on black is a quieter pairing than most graphics manage — the two colours are close enough in value that the pattern emerges gradually rather than shouting. It suits blue bikes without matching them exactly, which is usually the better outcome. The matt finish keeps the blue looking deep instead of glassy.

Airflow that reaches your head

Air enters at the chin and the crown, runs through channels moulded into the EPS, and exits at the rear — the Dynamic Flow-Through system. A breath deflector keeps exhaled air away from the visor.

Two visors in the box, a third inside the shell

You get an extra-large field of view — something Certimoov called out specifically — through a hardcoated UV-resistant screen. A Pinlock 120 MaxVision insert and a tinted spare visor come as standard.

The integrated sun visor deploys with a slider and disappears into the EPS when retracted, so it costs you no head room. Between it and the supplied tinted visor, most light conditions are covered.

Holding on, and letting go

SHARP rated this shell four stars out of five in February 2025. The chin strap closes with a micrometric metal buckle, the EPS is multi-density, and an emergency release lets the cheek pads be pulled clear at the roadside.

Inside, a removable and washable lining — breathable, hypoallergenic — with the shell prepared for the latest LS2 intercom. Certimoov noted that getting the helmet on takes a moment; the fit is close by design.
