DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP CJP 084H puts the Brutale 675's fuel map in the owner's hands: revs on one axis, load on the other and a correction in every cell.
Key Features
- MV Agusta Brutale 675 (2012–2017)
- Fully programmable fuel map, written on a PC
- Complete two-axis management: engine speed and load
- For engines with an aftermarket exhaust or air filter
- Plug-and-play with model-specific wiring
- Unplugs at any time, nothing is written to the motorcycle
The Small Triple
MV's 675 cc three cylinder revs to a point most riders never reach, and its low-rev fuelling has always been the harder half of the engine to get right.
Saving and Reloading
Maps are files. They can be backed up, sent to somebody else, restored after a mistake and compared side by side, which is the practical advantage of software over a fixed curve.
The Injectors Are Standard
No hardware is replaced. The unit works with the fuel system the factory fitted and extends the injector opening time, which is all it needs to do.
The Cells That Matter
Cruise, small openings and the first part of the throttle. Most riding happens there and most of the improvement anybody feels comes from getting those right.
A Realistic Timeline
An evening to fit and understand, a day to produce something usable, a season to refine it. That is what buying a blank map commits an owner to.
Interpolation Explained
Between two cells the unit blends the values proportionally. A map with a spike produces an engine with a spike, which is why smoothing is part of the work.
Backups Off the Laptop
Copy the good maps somewhere else. Laptops in paddocks get dropped, rained on and left behind, and a map is easier to lose than to recreate.
Starting Rich and Working Back
One accepted method: add fuel until the engine is clearly too rich, then reduce until it is right. It is slower than the alternative and considerably safer.
Riding the Empty Map First
Worth insisting on. A motorcycle you have felt with every cell at zero gives you a reference; one you started changing immediately gives you nothing to compare against.
