DescriptionThe whole story▼
Heel guards are the plates behind the rider footpegs, and they are the parts of a superbike that wear first because a boot lands on them several times a journey. On the S1000RR the originals are moulded plastic, and on a machine used on track they are scuffed before the first season is out.
Key Features
- Pair of heel guards, left and right, for the standard rearsets
- 245 Twill weave in clear coat, matt or raw
- Autoclave-cured laminate, harder at the surface than the moulded original
- Original fasteners and mounting positions
- Fits the whole 2019-2026 model run
Boots, Not Weather
The damage that reaches this part is mechanical and entirely predictable: the sole and heel of a riding boot, in the same place, thousands of times. A cured laminate is harder than injection-moulded plastic, so contact that would mark the original leaves less behind.
It will still mark eventually. The honest claim is a part that looks deliberate for longer, not one that stays new.
Fitment and Compatibility
BMW S1000RR, model years 2019 through 2026, on the standard rearset brackets. Machines with aftermarket rearsets usually come with their own heel guards and will not take these.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. Treat it as replacement trim and confirm the position for your own registration before road use.
The One Place Raw Wins Outright
On a surface a boot touches, lacquer is the layer that fails. A scratch through clear coat is pale against dark carbon and shows from several metres; the same scratch on bare weave is almost invisible.
Raw is therefore both the cheapest and the most durable-looking option, which rarely happens. Matt is the choice for an owner who wants the rearset area to look finished rather than stripped. Clear coat is difficult to defend here on any grounds other than matching.
