DescriptionThe whole story▼

On the Yamaha WR 250 X, the rear brake plays an important part in controlling the bike at low speed and settling it before corners. Accossato lists its AGPP106 rear pad for the WR 250 X of 2008 to 2016, and this is the Organic (OR) version. It is meant for riders who use their supermoto mainly on the road, especially in town, and want a gentle, quiet rear brake that is kind to the disc.

Key Features

  • AGPP106 rear pad in Organic (OR) compound
  • Listed for the Yamaha WR 250 X, 2008 to 2016
  • Soft, progressive pedal response
  • Accossato: long performance and limited disc wear
  • Quiet in urban use
  • One box for the rear caliper
  • ST and STMX also available

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato says the Organic compound gives longer-lasting performance and limits disc wear. For the rear brake of a road-going supermoto, used frequently but gently, that is a sensible combination.

Rear Brake in Traffic

In traffic, a light supermoto benefits from a rear brake that can be used softly for balance. The WR 250 X rider often drags the rear gently while filtering or rolling slowly towards a junction. An organic pad makes this easy, responding progressively to small pedal movements without grabbing. It stays quiet and does not need heat to work well, making it comfortable for short urban trips, and it keeps a parked-outside bike behaving normally on the first press of the morning. Because it treats the disc gently, running costs stay low, which matters to riders who chose a 250 supermoto partly for its modest upkeep.

When to Choose Another Mix

For wet riding, the ST version is the alternative. If the WR 250 X is ever converted for off-road use, the STMX compound is designed for dirt.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the WR 250 X, model years 2008 to 2016, Accossato names AGPP106 as the rear pad and AGPA72 for the front wheel. A single box does the whole job, because the rear wheel carries just one caliper. Before you slide the old pads out, note how they sit so the new pair goes in the same way. Wipe the pistons clean, then ease them back into their bores. Look at the rear disc for a lip at its outer edge, check the small rear reservoir, and press the pedal several times until it no longer sinks. A handful of soft stops on a quiet street beds the fresh pads in.

Road Approval

We have no German ABE or test mark for this pad. It is offered for track and competition use.
