DescriptionThe whole story▼

At many enduro events the special tests cannot be practised on the bike. Riders walk them instead, often the day before the race, trudging through woods and fields with a notebook or a phone and a careful eye. On a Husqvarna FE 350 the test is then ridden flat out, once per lap, so every detail noticed on foot can save seconds later. Accossato's answer for the feet on the FE 350 of 2017 to 2023 is a set of enlarged Ergal footpegs, in orange or black.

Key Features

  • Accossato footpegs for the Husqvarna FE 350 of 2017 to 2023
  • Enlarged shape, made of Ergal (a high-strength aluminium alloy)
  • Broad platform for tests ridden standing
  • Designed for motocross, enduro and off-road use
  • Orange or black
  • A left and a right peg
  • Accossato lists separate sets for the FE 350 of 2014–2016 and 2024–2026
  • No German ABE on record; competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Enduro has been part of Accossato's story for a long time; the company won an enduro world title in 1985. For these pegs it gives a plain description: enlarged footpegs in Ergal, meant for motocross, enduro and off-road machines. Ergal is an aluminium alloy of high strength, and the larger size means more surface under the sole. The set consists of two pegs, the left and the right, and for the FE 350 of these years it is available in orange or black.

On Foot Before the Test

Walking a test properly takes longer than most first-timers expect. Experienced riders go slowly, look back as often as forward and stop wherever the track changes character: a line of rocks after a fast section, a muddy dip, a tight turn hidden behind a rise. They think about how the test will look after the whole field has been through it, because ruts will form, stones will be pulled out and the quickest line may move. Some take photos or make short notes to go over in the evening.

A good walk also decides where the rider will be standing. On the FE 350, fast rough sections, braking areas full of stones and slippery descents are usually ridden on the pegs, while tight turns are taken seated with a foot ready. Planning those changes in advance means fewer surprises at race speed. The feet then have to do what the head has planned, quickly and without hunting for the peg, and a broad platform under the boot makes that a little easier when the test is ridden flat out.

Fitment and Compatibility

The FR798 is listed by Accossato for the FE 350 of 2017 to 2023. For the older 2014–2016 bikes there is the FR795, and for 2024 to 2026 the FR809. Please match the set to your FE 350's model year, compare the photos and the colour options, and ask us if you are unsure. The same FR798 is in our shop for the GasGas EC 300, the GasGas MC 250 and the Husqvarna FE 501.

Road Approval

An ABE or other approval for these pegs has not been made available to us, so we offer them for competition.
