Measure the old part against them before ordering. A scored piston face means oil bypasses the shims entirely. Piston bands are consumables — they wear against the bore and lose their seal gradually. Rebuilding a piston means keeping the shim order, because the stack is the tuning.

Why the Original

Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute.

Identifying the Right Part

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 00605-01. Öhlins states dimension a 10 mm, dimension b 16.3 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Jets meter fixed bleed flow and are sized in tenths of a millimetre. Valves hold pressure in one direction and open in the other.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00605-01

Category: Valves

Dimension A: 10 mm

Dimension B: 16.3 mm

Thread: M4

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00605-01_4055a391-a9fb-432c-bb11-17133552b42b.png?v=1788869897
