The reservoir holds the gas charge and the oil volume the damper displaces as the shaft enters it.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 00636-43

Dimension C 535 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Dimension B 12 mm

Dimension A 12 mm

What It Is

This one measures 12 mm, 12 mm, 535 mm, and those figures are what separate it from the neighbouring numbers. Hose length is part of the installation and cannot be substituted freely. Öhlins pressure-tests hoses because they carry the full gas charge. Fittings are specific to the hose and the housing they connect.

Why the Original

The tolerances here are the ones the unit was assembled to, not a pattern equivalent's interpretation of them. Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson.

Identifying the Right Part

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 00636-43 in this case. Check dimension a 12 mm, dimension b 12 mm, dimension c 535 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Öhlins pressure-tests its hoses because a reservoir line carries the full gas charge. Fittings are specific to the hose and the housing they connect.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00636-43

Category: Hoses

Dimension A: 12 mm

Dimension B: 12 mm

Dimension C: 535 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00636-43_16180640-caa3-465c-96e2-24e1fc49f446.png?v=1788869977
