Two Geometries, One Bike
JetPrime cuts this switch for both clamp arrangements rather than supplying a compromise. The dedicated versions sit closer to the master cylinder, which on a naked bike carrying a lever guard and a phone mount is space worth recovering.
Where the Offset Comes From
An aftermarket radial master cylinder, frequently one with a remote adjuster. Super Dukes are ridden hard enough that the brake receives attention even though KTM's own setup is already good, and the clamp geometry changes with it.
Establishing Which You Have
Offset means one bolt sits forward of the other relative to the handlebar. On a bike now several years old with an unknown modification history, that check is worth considerably more than any assumption.
The Generation That Got Civilised
KTM's 2017 revision brought cornering ABS, lean-sensitive traction control and a new frame. It made the Super Duke usable in a way the first one had not been, without taking away anything that made it worth owning.
A Twin Loosens Fasteners
A 1301 cc V-twin at low revs sends a heavy pulse through everything on the handlebar. Two mouldings clipped together develop play under that within a few seasons, and the buttons across the joint go vague first.
Sealed Elements
Contacts sealed inside a one-piece milled body. There is no seam anywhere, which on a motorcycle with a token flyscreen and nothing else is the only real protection the switchgear gets.
Two Finishes
Black and orange, converted into the surface rather than laid over it. A scrape dulls the component instead of exposing bright aluminium underneath.
