The women's softshell keeps the three-layer build and the fleece backer, on a pattern with a shaped waist and a shorter sleeve. The adjustable waistband matters more here than on the men's version: pulled in, it stops the jacket riding up over a hip when you sit down on a bike.

Softshell or rain jacket
Water-repellent means spray and drizzle run off. It does not mean an hour in the rain. Akrapovic builds a proper rain shell in the same line with a quoted 10,000 mm water column; if that is what you need, that is the article to take.
Fit and sizing
Sizes XS to XXL are listed. The fleece lining takes up a little room, so if you plan to wear a jumper underneath rather than a shirt, allow for it.
