DescriptionThe whole story▼

An MV Agusta F3 800 is a supersport triple, yet many owners ride it on long weekends in the mountains and into late autumn. This front pad set in Sintered (ST) compound is listed for two versions, the F3 800 AMG GT from 2016 to 2020 and the F3 800 RR from 2021 to 2025, and it suits riders who want the front brake to respond identically in cold, heat and rain.

Key Features

  • Sintered (ST) front pads for the F3 800 AMG GT and F3 800 RR
  • AMG GT 2016 to 2020, RR 2021 to 2025
  • Grips well in the wet, per Accossato
  • High, even bite across low and high temperatures
  • For sport touring and riding in all seasons
  • Two pads per box, one caliper per box

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's statement for the Sintered compound is that it maintains a high and constant grip level whatever the temperature and continues to grip on wet surfaces. On a sports bike whose rider tucks behind the screen and uses the front brake hard, that consistency builds trust. The firm, based in Villastellone near Turin, designs all its pads to wear slowly, to stay stable by keeping heat under control and to stop strongly; this mixture brings those qualities to riding where the weather is not guaranteed.

A Supersport for Real Roads

An F3 800 on a tour through the Dolomites spends hours on roads that alternate between sunlit switchbacks and shaded, damp corners. The rider is in a sporty crouch, weight on the wrists, and relies heavily on the front lever. On a long wet descent the last thing anyone wants is a brake that feels different from one hairpin to the next. The Sintered set is chosen for that kind of trip and for those who ride through October and beyond. EV1, EV2 and ZXC are the other mixtures listed for this front pad.

Changing the Front Pads

Renew the pads in both front calipers at the same time. Clean each piston carefully before retracting it and check whether the discs have worn close to their limit. Look at the fluid, which absorbs moisture over time and should be replaced if dark. Keep the discs free of oil and cleaning spray, then pump the lever until it is firm and give the pads a careful bedding-in on a dry road.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato matches this front pad, AGPA106, to only two F3 800 versions: the AMG GT special edition (2016 to 2020) and the RR (2021 to 2025). Owners of other F3 800 versions should check the correct front part before buying. For the rear there are two options depending on version, AGPA118 for the F3 800 of 2013 to 2020 and AGPA42 for later versions from 2016 to 2025. Twin front calipers mean you will need two boxes.

Road Approval

We have not received an ABE, test mark or other road approval document for these pads, so they are sold for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

Two sintered pads in a box, the set for one caliper. Hardware is not included.
