DescriptionThe whole story▼

Set at each end of the swingarm, Accossato's RCM1 fixes the TE 250's rear wheel position through a built-in adjusting screw, covering the bike as built between 2014 and 2017. Getting both sides to the same setting is what keeps the wheel square in the frame, with the screw making that repeatable in a way that eyeballing marks on the swingarm cannot quite match.

Key Features

  • Rear axle blocks for the Husqvarna TE 250, 2014 to 2017
  • Accossato code RCM1, fitted at each end of the swingarm
  • Built-in adjusting screw for setting chain tension
  • Available in orange, black or silver
  • Same part also listed for the Husqvarna TE 125, the Husqvarna TC 250 and the Husqvarna TE 300
  • Accossato also offers a chain guide, a swingarm slider and the screw-free version of this block for this bike
  • No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition riding

Construction and Material Quality

Sized to the TE 250's particular axle and swingarm slot, the RCM1 carries its adjusting screw as an integral part of the block rather than a bolt-on addition. Orange, black and silver are offered as a look only, with the screw working the same regardless of colour. Should the screw become difficult to turn, or the block show a deep mark from an impact, that is worth investigating before relying on it again.

A Routine Worth Repeating Each Service

Beyond the obvious jobs of oiling and tensioning the chain itself, a thorough service on the TE 250 includes checking that both axle blocks still turn freely and that the screw on each side has not picked up grit or corrosion since the last time it moved. Doing this regularly, rather than only when the chain visibly needs attention, keeps the adjustment mechanism working smoothly for longer and makes the next tension check faster than starting from a seized screw. Riders who service the bike themselves on a set schedule tend to build this into the same visit as a chain clean, since the wheel is usually already loosened for that job anyway. It adds only a couple of minutes to a routine that most owners are doing regardless.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato's list for the RCM1 spans 2014 to 2017 on the TE 250. The identical pair also covers the TE 125, the TC 250 and the TE 300, all sharing this swingarm. For the stock, no-screw method instead, Accossato's RTM1 bolts into the same position. Whichever is chosen, checking the TE 250's build year against the application list is worth the few minutes it takes.

Road Approval

No German ABE is on file for the RCM1, so Accossato lists it for off-road and competition use rather than for use on public roads.
