DescriptionThe whole story▼

Most track days begin long before the first session, with a Panigale V4 going up a ramp into a van or onto a trailer. Riding it up under its own power, or walking beside it in first gear, is clutch work at its most delicate. The Accossato ESH011 is the clutch lever Accossato lists for the Panigale V4 from 2018 to 2020. It replaces the original lever on the standard clutch mounting, is machined from aluminium and can be adjusted in its distance to the grip.

Key Features

  • Clutch lever for Panigale V4 bikes of 2018 to 2020
  • Replaces the stock lever on the original clutch mounting
  • Reach adjustable near the pivot
  • Three blade lengths, the standard one about 138 mm
  • Anodised aluminium, black hub, seven blade colours
  • CNC-machined from solid material
  • Fixed blade, no folding mechanism
  • No German ABE documented, sold for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Seen from the saddle, the ESH011 is two tones of anodised aluminium, a black hub and a coloured blade. Underneath it is a single CNC-machined part with no folding joint, so there is no second pivot to add slack to the clutch action of the Panigale V4. The blade keeps a consistent profile along its length, and because the colour is anodised into the surface, a glove rubbing across it day after day is far less likely to wear through the finish than it would be with paint.

Up the Ramp and Into the Van

Loading a bike means a slope, a narrow ramp and almost no speed. Whether you ride up or walk alongside, the drive has to come in gently and stay there, and any snatch at the clutch shows up as a lurch you do not want halfway up. With the ESH011 set closer to the grip, two fingers of the left hand can hold the engagement while the rest of the hand steers. Walking beside the bike, your arm reaches across the tank, and a lever that sits nearer the grip is easier to control from that angle. At the end of the day the job is reversed: the V4 rolls back down on the front brake with the clutch pulled in. Have a helper, the straps ready and the ramp secured before you start, and take the first attempt slowly until you know how the new lever position feels.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the ESH011 for the Panigale V4 from 2018 to 2020; later V4s are not on its list for this clutch lever. For the brake side of those years, Accossato offers two levers under different V4 references, the EDF011 and the EDF099, and comparing their photos with your own lever is the sensible way to choose between them.

Road Approval

For the ESH011 on the Panigale V4, a German ABE is not documented. The lever is sold for track riding.
