For the 2020 R1, the JP CO YA033 replaces the throttle housing and integrated right-hand switch block with a single machined Ergal body.

Crossplane, Fifteen Years On
Yamaha brought the crossplane crankshaft from MotoGP to the road in 2009 and has kept it ever since. It gives the inline four an uneven firing order and a torque delivery closer to a V4, which is the reason an R1 sounds and feels unlike anything else in the class.
The 2020 Update
New cylinder head, finger-follower rocker arms, revised intake and a reworked electronics package. Yamaha called it an evolution and it was substantial, and this generation ran until Euro 5+ ended road sales of the R1 in Europe.
Housing and Switches as One
The right-hand controls are built into the throttle assembly. There is no way to renew one without the other, which makes the standard replacement more expensive than expected and an aftermarket unit covering both entirely sensible.
Three Anodised Finishes
Black, blue and titanium. Blue is the obvious choice on a bike in Yamaha's racing livery, where it continues something already on the fairing rather than introducing a new colour to the cockpit.
Machined for the Sensor
The R1 has been ride-by-wire since 2015, so the housing holds a position sensor. A body cut from solid keeps the tube's rotation precise in a way a moulding with a clipped joint eventually does not.
Sealed for Track Use
Most R1s of this generation see circuits. Sealed switch elements inside a one-piece body leave no route for water when the bike is washed hot after a session, which is the failure mode that matters more than mileage.
