The JP MJ 007 is the Memjet EVO power module for the 1290 Superduke R EVO, a preset fuel module that corrects the mixture without anything being written to the motorcycle's own electronics.

Semi-Active Damping
The EVO brought electronically controlled suspension to the naked bike without touching the engine or its mapping in any way.
What It Cannot Fix
A worn throttle position sensor, a leaking inlet rubber, a clogged filter or a sticking valve. A module corrects fuel quantity and nothing else. Fitting one to hide a mechanical fault postpones the diagnosis rather than avoiding it.
No Laptop Required
JetPrime works out the curve for that engine and ships it in the module. There is no software to install, no cable to buy and no afternoon spent learning an interface, which is the entire point of the preset version.
Against Flashing the Controller
A full remap can do considerably more and is considerably harder to undo. This module is the narrower, cheaper and entirely reversible option, and for a great many owners that is the right trade.
The First Quarter of the Throttle
It is where a motorcycle spends the overwhelming majority of its life, and it is where a manufacturer's caution is most audible. A module addresses that region rather than the part a magazine test measures.
Expectations, Set Properly
The manufacturer promises response and smoothness. Read as a power part it disappoints; read as what it says it is, it satisfies consistently.
A Sensible First Modification
It costs less than a set of tyres, takes an evening and can be undone completely. As an entry into modifying an injected motorcycle there are considerably worse places to start.
Not a Cure for Age
An engine with worn valve guides or low compression runs badly for mechanical reasons. Adding fuel masks a symptom and delays a repair that will only get more expensive.
