They are opened and closed with this tool, the FCAP-TOOL-01-B, which Gilles makes for all of its FCAP fuel filler caps. A T-handle gives a firm grip, and the base engages the cut-outs in the top of the cap precisely, so the cap can be turned without the tool slipping out.

Key Features

Opens and closes Gilles FCAP fuel caps

Suitable for all Gilles FCAP fuel filler caps, according to Gilles

Engages the cut-outs in the cap precisely

Sits securely in the cap and is still easy to remove

T-handle for a firm grip

One tool for every FCAP

If you fit Gilles FCAP caps to more than one motorcycle, a single tool is enough, because Gilles designed the FCAP-TOOL-01-B for every cap of the FCAP line. The caps themselves are sold without it, so order the tool together with your first cap.

Where to keep it

Without the tool, an FCAP cap cannot be opened, so it belongs wherever you are when you refuel: in the tank bag, a jacket pocket or the tool kit under the seat. On track days it can live in the paddock box next to the fuel can. If several people ride the same bike, make sure everyone knows where the tool is kept.

How it works

Set the tool on the cap so that its base engages the cut-outs, turn it to open or close the cap, then lift it off. Gilles' detail photo shows the underside with the lugs that fit into the cap. Always close the cap as described in the Gilles instructions before riding off.

Scope of Delivery

One Gilles FCAP-TOOL-01-B fuel cap tool. The FCAP fuel cap is not included; Gilles makes it for many motorcycles, and each version is listed on its own page in our shop.

Specifications

Brand: Gilles Tooling

Series: FCAP

Part number: FCAP-TOOL-01-B

Type: Tool for FCAP fuel filler caps

Handle: T-handle

Colour: Black

Compatibility: All Gilles FCAP fuel caps

Road approval: Not applicable, the tool is not fitted to the motorcycle
