DescriptionThe whole story▼

City riding does not stop when the weather turns, and many owners of the Zero FXE ZF7.2 from 2022 use it every day of the year. For them Accossato makes the AGPA92 front pad in Sintered (ST) compound. Wet cobbles, tram lines, cold mornings and the odd downhill street through the old town all ask for a brake that works consistently, and the sintered mixture is designed with that constancy in mind.

Key Features

  • Front pads AGPA92 for the Zero FXE 2022 (ZF7.2)
  • Sintered (ST) mixture for year-round commuting
  • Accossato cites steady grip at low and high temperatures
  • Strong performance on wet streets
  • Same lever feel in winter and summer
  • Other compounds for this pad: OR, EV1, EV2, ZXC
  • Two pads for one caliper

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato says its sintered pads keep a high, constant level of grip at both high and low temperatures and grip well in the wet. On a small electric commuter that is ridden in rain as often as in sunshine, that consistency is the main argument. The company also designs its pads to limit heat build-up and wear slowly, so a set can last through a full season of daily use.

Winter Commuting on the FXE

Winter commuting brings dark mornings, damp roads and grit spread on the streets. A sintered front pad on the Zero FXE is meant to answer the lever the same way at freezing point as it does on a mild day. Salt and slush are tough on brakes, so rinse the caliper with clean water after wet rides and let it dry before parking indoors. Check that the pads slide freely in the caliper, and have the brake fluid changed at the recommended interval, since moisture in the fluid lowers its tolerance to heat.

Fitment and Compatibility

AGPA92 is Accossato's front pad for the Zero FXE ZF7.2, 2022. For the rear wheel of the same bike the company lists AGPP91. Replace both front pads together, clean the pistons before pushing them back and bed the new set in with a series of moderate stops. Take the first ride after the change on a quiet street, not in heavy rush-hour traffic.

Road Approval

We have no test or approval documents, German ABE included, for this pad; it is offered for race and competition use.

Scope of Delivery
