DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Ninja 7 Hybrid, new for 2024, combines a small parallel twin with an electric motor and a battery, and Kawasaki gave it several riding modes, including one that moves the bike on electric power alone. In that mode it is the quietest machine in any paddock, and silence brings a new habit to learn at the tank. The Ninja 7 Hybrid 450 of 2024 appears on Accossato's list with the FC126, a quick-release cap cut from aluminium, whose quick-closing pawl carries a coloured pin.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the Kawasaki Ninja 7 Hybrid 450, 2024
- Body machined entirely from aluminium on CNC equipment
- Quick-closing pawl
- Pin colours: black, green, silver, blue, red, gold
- Spare pawl sold separately
- New design, robust and durable in Accossato's description
- No German ABE on record; for closed courses
Construction and Material Quality
Every surface of the FC126 is CNC-machined aluminium, and Accossato calls the cap robust and durable and its design new. On the Ninja 7 Hybrid, the quick-closing pawl opens the tank quickly and closes it again at once, and its pin can be ordered in six colours. If the pawl is damaged, Accossato sells a replacement on its own.
Silence Does Not Mean Switched Off
On a conventional bike, the sound of the engine tells you whether it is running. On the Ninja 7 Hybrid the petrol engine does not have to be running for the bike to be ready to move, and in electric mode or while manoeuvring it rolls away in near silence. That changes the refuelling routine. Before you open the FC126, switch the ignition off completely and check the dashboard rather than relying on your ears. Put the bike on its stand, give the petrol engine and exhaust time to cool, and only then release the pawl. Remember that this bike carries both petrol and a battery system, so keep sparks, flames and cigarettes well away, as with any refuelling. Fill slowly, close the pawl and check the cap. In a busy paddock, tell the people around you when a quiet bike is about to move, because they will not hear it coming. The routine takes a little getting used to, and it is worth having it right from the first day.
Fitment and Compatibility
This product covers the Ninja 7 Hybrid 450 of 2024, the bike's first model year, which is the entry Accossato gives for the FC126. In our range the Ninja 500 and the Eliminator 500 carry the same cap. Check your bike against the application list before ordering.
Road Approval
No German ABE and no parts certificate are on record for the FC126, so it is meant for closed courses. On public roads the Ninja 7 Hybrid should use the cap it left the factory with, which on road bikes normally locks.
