DescriptionThe whole story▼
Built for competition, the EV2 racing version of Accossato's AGPA96 front pad fits the Zero DSR ZF17.3-X of 2023. Anyone who enters this electric bike in a circuit event, a hill climb or a club race series needs a pad that can take braking from speed again and again. Accossato ranks EV2 among its top racing compounds, and this listing brings that mix to the front caliper of the latest DSR in the sheet.
Key Features
- Front pad AGPA96, Zero DSR 2023 (ZF17.3-X)
- EV2 racing mixture for competition
- Positioned by Accossato as a top racing compound
- Built for aggressive braking into corners
- Fit for timed practice and race starts
- Also listed as OR, ST, EV1 or ZXC
- Two pads, one caliper
Construction and Material Quality
EV2 is what Accossato calls a top racing compound, designed for the high temperatures and repeated loads of motorsport. The maker states that its pads keep heat under control and wear slowly, reducing fade in long sessions. Expect the compound to come alive once it is properly warm; on a cold public road its character is noticeably different from an everyday pad, with a less eager first bite.
Hill Climbs, Sprints and Timed Sessions
Short, intense events such as hill climbs and sprints put a peculiar load on brakes: few stops, but each one from high speed with cold components. On the 2023 DSR, warm the pads with a few firm applications before the timed run if the rules allow. In circuit racing, the load is constant and the pads settle into their working range after a lap or two. In both cases check the disc for heat marks, keep the brake fluid fresh and inspect pad wear after every session, not just every weekend.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPA96 is listed by Accossato for the front brake of the Zero DSR ZF17.3-X, 2023 only. The 2016 to 2017 DSR takes AGPA92 up front. The matching rear pads are AGPA29 for the 2023 bike and AGPP91 for the earlier one. Fit both pads of the caliper at the same time and clean the pistons before pushing them home.
Road Approval
As no ABE or test certificate is available to us, the product is intended for motorsport and competition only.
