The facts.

DescriptionThe whole story

This is the Small (women's fit), dimensioned for a women's-fit back-protector pocket. Same certified construction; pick the fit for your gear.

Spinal protection is the most consequential armour decision a rider makes — and the one most often skipped, because rigid boards are uncomfortable enough to get left at home. The Seventy Degrees Windflex® Full-Back Protector removes that excuse: the highest CE back rating in a flexible insert you'll actually keep in the jacket.

Highest CE Back Standard

Certified to EN 1621-2:2014 Level 2 with Full Back (FB) coverage — the top specification for CE back protection. FB means the insert covers the complete spinal column and the wider scapular (shoulder-blade) zones, not just a partial centre panel, at the higher of the two energy-absorption thresholds.

Windflex® — Flexible, Then Locks

Where a rigid back board sits as a fixed plate against the spine, the Windflex® viscoelastic compound — developed in Seventy Degrees' own 70 Safety Lab — behaves like soft rubber, bending and moving with your back through every riding and walking posture. On impact its molecular structure locks in milliseconds, spreading the energy across the whole protected surface.

Comfortable Enough to Keep In

A flat, lightweight body keeps volume low inside the jacket's back-protector pocket, and the tapered, conical perimeter edges remove the hard rim that digs in on a long ride. The Air&Flex open-cell structure lets air move through the armour to cut heat and moisture build-up — all-season comfort that means the protector stays where it belongs.

Universal Fitment & Sizing

The universal format slides into any standard Seventy Degrees internal back-protector pocket, or can be stitched permanently into a garment liner. Two fits: Small (women's dimensions) and Large (men's dimensions) — pick to match your jacket's pocket. The single most important protection upgrade you can make.
