DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a fully faired superbike the side panels are the motorcycle. They carry the colour scheme, they set the silhouette from every angle a photograph is ever taken from, and on the 2023 S1000RR they carry the integrated winglets as well. Replacing them in carbon is the largest single change available for this machine.
Key Features
- Set of side fairing panels, left and right, direct replacement
- 245 Twill weave in clear coat, matt or raw
- Autoclave-cured laminate across the largest painted area on the motorcycle
- Original mounting points, fasteners and quick-release fixings
- Raw carbon is the lightest and least expensive of the three
Panels That Have to Come Off Regularly
Side fairings on a track-used S1000RR are removed and refitted far more often than anything else on the motorcycle, and every one of those cycles loads the mounting bosses. This is the part of the bodywork where a laminate with a high fibre fraction and few voids pays back most obviously, because the bosses are what fail first on a panel that is worked.
It is also the reason to handle the first fitting carefully. Locate every fixing before tightening any of them; a panel pulled into place once is a panel under load permanently.
Fitment and Compatibility
BMW S1000RR, model years 2023 and 2024. The 2019-2022 machines have a differently shaped flank and the 2025 model is a new generation, so neither takes these panels.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. Treat it as replacement bodywork and confirm the position for your own registration before road use.
Losing the Paint
A standard S1000RR is defined by its paint scheme, and these panels carry most of it. Fitting carbon is not a material upgrade to the same motorcycle; it produces a different motorcycle, and that decision should be made deliberately.
Clear coat over twill on an area this large is the most dramatic option available anywhere in the Fullsix BMW range. Matt turns the flank into a single dark surface and lets the shape do the work. Raw is the track choice: no lacquer to chip in the paddock, lowest price, and it looks like what it is.
