DescriptionThe whole story▼

Accossato lists its rear pad AGPP89 for the Triumph Tiger 800 XCA from 2015 to 2020, and AGPP89OR is the Organic version. It is designed for XCA owners who ride mainly on paved roads and want a smooth, quiet rear brake that is kind to the disc. On a tall adventure bike, a gentle rear pad makes slow manoeuvres, parking and stop-and-go traffic easier to handle every day.

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato says the Organic compound keeps its performance over a long time while limiting disc wear. For the rear of an XCA ridden mainly on paved roads, that is a practical, economical choice. Accossato also designs its pads to limit heat and fading.

Parking and Slow Traffic

A tall adventure bike can feel awkward at walking pace. Parking on a slope, turning around in a narrow lane and edging forward in a queue all rely on a gentle rear brake. The Organic compound is designed for this soft, predictable engagement. It also works from cold and runs quietly, which suits short urban trips. For riders who use their XCA mainly on the road, it is a comfortable everyday choice, and one that leaves the rear disc in good shape for longer.

Learning the Bike

Riders who have just moved up to a mid-size adventure bike often use the rear brake more than they expect during slow-speed practice. A pad that never snatches makes figure-of-eight exercises and tight turns in a car park much less stressful, and it lets you concentrate on looking where you want to go rather than on the pedal.

Rear Brake Care

Check the rear disc for grooves and the pads for thickness at each service. Keep the caliper clean and the fluid fresh.

Fitment and Compatibility

AGPP89 is the rear pad for the XCA throughout 2015 to 2020, according to Accossato. The front is split by year: AGPA72 for 2015 to 2017 and AGPA29 for 2018. Two pads in the box make one complete set for the only rear caliper. Once fitted, press the pedal repeatedly until it feels solid.

Road Approval

We hold no German ABE and no test mark for AGPP89OR. It is listed for competition use.

Scope of Delivery

Two Organic rear pads, one set for the rear caliper.
