DescriptionThe whole story▼

The faired GSX-S1000F takes the same HS053 hydraulic clutch kit Accossato builds for its naked GSX-S1000 sibling: a 13.5 mm-piston pump, a matched hose and an AT002-64-73 actuator, made in Italy and supplied complete. Accossato's intent is a lighter lever and less maintenance than a cable clutch, which suits the GSX-S1000F's role as the more distance-oriented half of the pair, where riders spend longer in the saddle and feel lever fatigue over a full day more than on short rides. DOT 4 is the only fluid specified for the system.

Key Features

  • Converts the Suzuki GSX-S1000F's clutch from cable to hydraulic actuation
  • Clutch pump with 13.5 mm piston
  • Dedicated clutch hose included
  • AT002-64-73 actuator included
  • Cuts the force needed at the lever
  • Very little upkeep once fitted
  • DOT 4 fluid only
  • Made in Italy

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato makes the HS053 kit in Italy and supplies it as a complete, ready-to-fit unit: pump, hose and actuator sized to each other rather than left for the installer to match up. The description it gives of the conversion, easy to install and lighter at the lever, applies just as much to the half-faired GSX-S1000F as it does to the bare GSX-S1000 underneath its bodywork, since the two share the same clutch architecture.

The Faired Half of the Same Platform

Suzuki sells the GSX-S1000F as the sport-touring counterpart to the naked GSX-S1000, wrapped in a half-fairing and aimed at riders who cover more distance in one sitting rather than short, sharp rides. A hydraulic clutch does not change that relationship to the naked model, but it does take some of the accumulated strain out of a longer stint in traffic or on a motorway run, where a cable clutch's resistance becomes more noticeable the longer the ride goes on than it would over a short commute.

Fitment and Compatibility

This listing is built for the Suzuki GSX-S1000F from the 2015 to 2021 model years, confirmed in the Fitment tab on this page. The naked GSX-S1000 takes the identical kit under its own separate listing, since Accossato ties the pump, hose and actuator to one named motorcycle rather than selling a single universal kit across both. Riders should check their GSX-S1000F falls inside the stated years before ordering, and should not assume the fairing changes anything about how the kit fits.

Road Approval

There is no ABE or parts certificate documented by Accossato for the HS053; registration rules depend on the country, so check before road use.
