DescriptionThe whole story▼

The JP ACCGP MV002 short-stroke throttle fits the MV Agusta F3 Ago 800 (2012–2020), the Agostini special edition of the supersport triple, keeping its ride-by-wire fuelling untouched while reducing the rotation to sixty degrees and adding a return spring the standard grip on this model never carried.

Key Features

  • MV Agusta F3 Ago 800 (2012–2020)
  • GP Series ride-by-wire quick throttle with a sixty degree rotation angle
  • Progressive return spring, preload adjustable externally in three positions
  • CNC-machined from solid Ergal 7075
  • Plug-and-play on the motorcycle's own connector
  • Standard throttle assembly refits at any time

A Special Edition Built for the Circuit

Carrying the Ago name ties this version of the F3 800 to a racing lineage, and most owners ride it with that history in mind, taking it to a track more often than the average supersport sees one. A shorter throttle rotation suits exactly that use, where small inputs on corner exit add up over a session.

Milling Instead of Casting

The throttle housing is machined from a single block of 7075 Ergal, which keeps the lever's feel consistent through a far higher number of open-and-close cycles than a road bike alone would ever put it through, something a special edition ridden on track tends to see often.

Re-Teaching the Sensor

Fitting the new grip calls for a short diagnostic reset so the ride-by-wire control unit relearns the throttle position sensor's range from scratch, a step most workshops familiar with MV Agusta electronics handle quickly before the bike goes back out.

What the Agostini Badge Doesn't Change

Nothing about the special livery, the lineage, or the collector value of the Ago edition affects how the electronics underneath respond to input; the fuelling map stays exactly as MV Agusta programmed it, only the path to reach full throttle is shorter.

Compatible Without Rewiring

The stock bar clamp and switch cluster accept the new throttle body without any cutting or rerouting of the loom, which matters to an owner who wants the upgrade without disturbing a bike kept close to its original specification and collector condition.

Keeping the Factory Grip in Reserve

Since the original throttle refits cleanly, an owner can try the shorter rotation for a season of track days while keeping the factory part safe for whenever the bike might need to go back to how it left MV Agusta.
