DescriptionThe whole story▼

The JP ACCGP KT016 fits the KTM 1190 Adventure R built between 2013 and 2016, the off-road-focused version of KTM's larger adventure platform, built with rally-derived suspension and ground clearance for routes the standard model would avoid. A shorter, sixty-degree rotation suits the deliberate throttle work loose terrain demands.

Key Features

  • KTM 1190 Adventure R (2013–2016)
  • GP Series ride-by-wire quick throttle with a sixty degree rotation angle
  • Progressive return spring, preload adjustable externally in three positions
  • CNC-machined from solid Ergal 7075
  • Plug-and-play on the motorcycle's own connector
  • Standard throttle assembly refits at any time

Rally-Derived, Not Just Rally-Styled

The R's extra suspension travel and ground clearance trace back to KTM's rally heritage rather than existing purely for appearance, and riding it the way that heritage intends, standing through rough, loose sections, puts particular demands on throttle precision that a shorter rotation is built to answer.

A Heavier Engine's Behaviour on Loose Ground

The 1190's larger V-twin carries more torque onto loose surfaces than the smaller 1090 or 1050 versions, which means a careless throttle input breaks traction more readily on gravel or sand. The shorter rotation reduces how much that additional torque responds to any given wrist movement, giving a rider finer margin to correct before a small slide becomes a bigger one.

Standing Through the Rough Stuff

Riding this motorcycle standing on the pegs through rutted or loose sections changes a rider's leverage over the throttle compared to sitting on tarmac, and the shorter GP Series rotation keeps that control within easy reach of the wrist regardless of how aggressively the terrain is moving the rest of the bike around underneath.

Preload Firm Enough for an Active Riding Style

Riding off-road typically means a more active grip on the throttle than relaxed road riding, and the progressive spring's three external preload settings let an owner firm the snap-back accordingly, matching the throttle's return to the more deliberate, physical style this bike is actually ridden with off tarmac.

Built From Solid Ergal for Repeated Impacts

Machined from a solid billet rather than stamped from sheet, the shorter throttle cam is built to hold its tolerances through the kind of impacts and rough handling a dedicated off-road adventure bike experiences, conditions this older-generation R was specifically engineered to survive in the first place.

Fitted for the Route Ahead, Reversible After

Installation uses the stock connector and mounting points regardless of how remote the intended route is, finishing with a diagnostic throttle position reset, and the standard throttle refits just as easily once a trip is over or the bike changes hands.
