DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Scrambler Classic wears spoked wheels and a brown seat and is bought for how it looks, which makes the round instrument above the bar part of the design rather than an afterthought. This number comes with the bracket that carries it, so the bar can be moved without leaving the dial hanging.
Key Features
- Speedometer bracket for the Scrambler included
- Fore and aft: 3.6 mm steps, up to 25 mm in each direction
- For 28.6 mm tapered handlebars
- Fits top yokes with 10.5 mm holes
- CNC-machined from EN AW 7075-T6, upper clamp 6082-T6
- Road legal under ABE No. KBA 91440, no acceptance inspection
Type K1
Gilles lists the Ducati Scrambler of 2014 to 2016 under the type K1, which covers the Classic.
Bracket included
The speedometer bracket works only together with the 2DGT clamp and is part of this number.
Road Approval
The vehicle list of ABE No. KBA 91440 names the Ducati SCRAMBLER CLASSIC for these risers. The document notes that with shims the height may be changed by up to 20 mm. That makes them road legal in Germany without an inspection and without an entry in the registration documents. The approval is marked on the part, and the certificate belongs in the bike's document wallet.
Scope of Delivery
In the box: the Gilles 2DGT risers made for this model, the model-specific adapter kit ABK-12, the speedometer bracket and the shims for the height adjustment. The ABE document downloads from this page.
Fitting
Fit the risers hand-tight, put the handlebar in place and try the seating position before anything is torqued. Once it suits you, tighten the clamps evenly and check the steering over its full range, with the front brake applied and the bars on both stops.
