DescriptionThe whole story▼
Engineered for the Yamaha YZF-R1/M RN65, the Carbonin CY19425 airbox cover delivers a seamless, precise fit that installs without fuss and sits flush against the fairing all day long — whether you are logging laps at the circuit or eating up motorway miles. Constructed from genuine motorsport-grade carbon fibre, it trims unsprung weight while protecting the airbox from contamination and channelling airflow exactly where the engine demands it.
Key Features
- Precision-fit design engineered specifically for the Yamaha YZF-R1/M RN65 (2020-2026), ensuring a gap-free, rattle-free installation every time
- Motorsport-grade carbon fibre construction combines exceptional rigidity with minimal weight, reducing overall mass without compromising structural integrity
- Optimised airflow geometry directs a cleaner, more consistent charge to the airbox, supporting improved engine response and efficiency
- Effective protection against road debris, dirt and environmental contamination that would otherwise compromise airbox performance
- Race-bred aesthetics — the exposed carbon weave gives the YZF-R1/M a purposeful, aggressive track appearance straight out of the box
- Straightforward installation with no modification required; the cover follows the factory mounting points for a quick, confident fit
Built to Motorsport Standards
Carbonin has long supplied top-tier race teams, and every piece in their range reflects that origin. The CY19425 airbox cover is produced using the same high-grade carbon fibre layup processes found on competition machinery, resulting in a component that holds its shape under sustained heat and vibration. The surface finish is clean and consistent, with the carbon weave visible through a clear protective coat — a visual signature that reads as performance hardware, not decorative trim.
Performance on the Road and Track
The primary functional benefit is reliable airflow management. By replacing the factory cover with a lightweight carbon alternative, you remove unnecessary mass from a central area of the machine and ensure the airbox breathes freely without the ingress of contamination. The result is an engine that responds more crisply, particularly at the mid-to-high rpm range that defines the YZF-R1 character. On track days the weight reduction contributes to a marginally more agile feel; on the road the cleaner intake path makes the most of every fuel injection cycle.
