DescriptionThe whole story▼
Rare MV Agusta variants such as the F4 RC LH are often kept as much as they are ridden. Accossato lists this one separately, as the F4 1000 RC LH, next to the F4 RC, and names the same brake lever for both. For an owner who wants to ride the bike without giving up its originality, the EDF099 makes sense: a CNC-machined aluminium lever with adjustable reach that takes the place of the stock part, a change you can reverse at any time by refitting the original. It is listed for 2015 to 2018.
Key Features
- Brake lever for the MV Agusta F4 RC LH, 2015 to 2018
- Replaces the stock lever on the original master cylinder
- Original lever can be kept and refitted later
- Adjustable reach
- Black blade in standard length for a discreet look
- Short, standard (approximately 138 mm) and long blades in other colours
- Machined, anodised aluminium; rigid one-piece design
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the EDF099 from aluminium and anodises it, the hub always black and the blade in the colour you choose. A black blade makes the lever almost disappear against the hub, so the change is visible only to someone who looks closely at the machined edges. Anodising leaves the colour inside the surface layer of the metal, and the lever is fixed along its whole length, with no hinge to wear.
Keeping an Edition Original
On a rare motorcycle, originality has real value, and the parts that come off the bike deserve as much care as the ones that go on. Before fitting the EDF099, photograph the original lever in place, including its reach setting, then clean it, wrap it and store it with the bike's documents and any other original parts. Label it with the model and year. That way the F4 RC LH can be returned to the state in which it left the factory, whether for a concours, for a sale or simply for your own satisfaction. In the meantime, the Accossato lever lets you ride with the reach set for your own hand and your own gloves. If you want the change to stay discreet, the black blade in the standard length keeps the cockpit looking as MV Agusta intended; silver, in standard or short, is the other quiet option. Riders who prefer a visible accent can choose blue, gold, green, orange or red.
Fitment and Compatibility
The EDF099 is listed for the F4 RC LH, which Accossato enters as F4 1000 RC LH, from 2015 to 2018, and it mounts on the original master cylinder. No Accossato clutch lever is named for this variant. The same brake lever also appears on Accossato's list for the F4 RC and for the F4 of 2010 to 2018.
Road Approval
A German ABE is not documented for the EDF099, so we sell it for track use.
