Öhlins fork parts are specific to the fork model, not interchangeable across the range.

Key Features

Dimension C 59.2 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 15203-03

Dimension B 566 mm

Dimension A 48 mm

Where It Sits

This one measures 48 mm, 566 mm, 59.2 mm, and those figures are what separate it from the neighbouring numbers. Outer tubes hold the bushings and the seal head, so their bore finish matters as much as the inner tube's outside. Bushings in the fork carry the side load; play there shows up as knocking under braking. Fork parts are specific to the fork, not to the motorcycle it happens to be fitted to.

Genuine Service Part

A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it.

Getting the Number Right

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 15203-03 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Öhlins states dimension a 48 mm, dimension b 566 mm, dimension c 59.2 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Fork legs are matched left and right on most Öhlins forks and are listed separately. Inner tubes carry a low-friction coating; once it is through, the seals wear quickly.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15203-03

Category: Fork Parts

Dimension A: 48 mm

Dimension B: 566 mm

Dimension C: 59.2 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15203-03_30b4d01d-ecfe-4d6c-90f9-543f0134e5f7.png?v=1788878630
