Two Grid-O silencers, 215 millimetres each, mounted high on both sides of the tail. Spark's kit for the middleweight Duke replaces everything behind the standard catalysed collector and leaves the catalytic converter where it is - which is what makes the homologated version possible.

Six Hundred Grams Each

Spark gives the weight of a single Grid-O case as 600 grams. That figure comes from how it is made rather than from thinning material: the perforated sleeve is cut by 3D laser and the seams are TIG welded, so there are no flanges, no rolled joints and no clamped rings adding mass at the ends.

Spark developed the silencer on World Superbike and Moto2 circuits, and the visible weld seams and the mesh end cap are what came back from that. It is a racing case that happens to be available with papers.

What the Collector Keeps

The kit stops at the collector. The standard catalysed manifold stays fitted, the Grid-O pipes bolt to it in stainless steel, and the pipe diameters are the part Spark actually tuned - the company quotes around 2 hp more than standard from that alone.

Leaving the catalytic converter in place is not a compromise here, it is the whole reason this version carries an approval and can be ridden on the road as delivered.

215 or 175

Spark builds the same kit with a shorter case. GKT0115TOM uses 175 mm Grid-O silencers, weighs 2.8 kg instead of 3.0, and costs exactly the same money. The 215 is the more conventional proportion under a Duke tail; the 175 is the stubbier one. Nothing else changes between them.

Installation

Slip-on level: the kit mounts onto the standard catalysed collector with stainless-steel fittings, so the catalytic converter stays on the motorcycle. Both silencers sit high, one each side. Have it fitted by a workshop if you are not comfortable working around the collector flange.

Fitment & Compatibility

KTM 790 Duke, 890 Duke, 890 Duke L and 890 Duke R, 2018 to 2024. The racing version of this exact kit, without approval, is GKT0110T. The short-case version is GKT0115TOM. Spark's current Euro5+ kits for the same motorcycles use the newer Dyno silencer: GKT0119TOMA, GKT0119TOMN and GKT0119TOMC.

Road Approval

Homologated. Spark lists this article as approved and the standard catalytic converter remains fitted, so the motorcycle stays road legal as supplied. Spark describes the Grid-O as the Euro 4 generation of its Duke silencers.
