Half the weight of the standard silencer, and a dB killer designed around the luggage. Spark built this slip-on specifically for the Super Duke GT — a sport tourer that is expected to carry side bags and still make the noise a big V-twin should.
Key Features
- Euro5 approved slip-on for the KTM 1290 Super Duke GT, 2020 to 2024.
- 1.5 kg against 2.9 kg standard — over 50 percent lighter, per Spark.
- Force Evo silencer: titanium with a carbon fibre end cap.
- Specially developed dB killer that directs the gas flow and protects the side bags from heat.
- Ready to use — no additional modifications required.
- Full Euro5 compliance.
A dB Killer With a Second Job
Most dB killers do one thing: reduce the reading. Spark states that the one developed for this silencer is engineered to direct the exhaust gas flow correctly and to protect the side bags from heat.
That is a genuinely different design brief, and it is the sort of detail that only appears when a manufacturer builds for a specific motorcycle rather than adapting a case. A GT rides fully loaded, at motorway speeds, for hours. Where the gas leaves the outlet and where it goes next stops being an acoustic question and becomes a question about the panniers.
Half the Weight, on the Right Bike
One point four kilos off a sport tourer is not a lap-time argument and Spark does not make one. What it changes is how the bike feels at low speed and when it is being manoeuvred — a GT is a tall, heavy motorcycle, and the standard silencer hangs out to one side well behind the centre of mass.
Taking half of that away improves the one part of a big tourer's behaviour that owners actually complain about: what it does in a car park.
Nothing Else to Do
Spark's phrase for this range is high performance, ready to use, with no need for additional modifications. That means no remap, no error lights and no compromise on the registration document — the slip-on is Euro5 approved as supplied.
For a motorcycle used for long journeys and serviced by a dealer, that combination matters more than any figure. The exhaust changes what the bike sounds like and what it weighs, and changes nothing about how it is treated at the next inspection.
Built for This Motorcycle, Not Adapted to It
Spark's stated aim for the Super Duke GT was a product that enhances performance while integrating with the sport-touring character of the bike — for everyday use as much as for long journeys. That is a different brief from a racing silencer, and the result reflects it.
The Force Evo is the more restrained of Spark's race silencers, the one chosen when decibels have to come down. Titanium body, carbon end cap, a rib running the length of the sleeve into the cap's lines. It looks like it belongs on a fast tourer rather than on a stripped track bike, which on this motorcycle is the point.
Fitment & Compatibility
KTM 1290 Super Duke GT, 2020 through 2024. Spark's silencers for the Super Duke R are different parts — the lateral slip-ons there are GKT0113TOM and GKT0113DOM, and the underseat pairs GKT0111TOM, GKT0117TOM and GKT0120TOMA.
Road Approval
Euro5 approved. Legal for road use as supplied, with no ECU modification required.
