DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 009 takes the place of the Tuono V4 1100 Factory's rear brake light switch so the panel reports nothing.
Key Features
- Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory (2019–2026)
- Replaces the rear brake light switch in the circuit
- Nothing is reported on the instrument panel
- Plugs into Aprilia's own connector
- For rearsets with no switch position
- Standard switch refits at any time
Where It Sits
On the rear master cylinder, pushed by the pedal linkage. Everything that needs to know the rear brake is in use reads that one switch.
Race Rearsets
They move the master cylinder and change the pedal geometry, and almost none of them provide a position for the factory switch.
The Consequence
An empty connector reads as a fault. The panel carries a warning and the rear brake input disappears from the systems that use it.
Presented Properly
This unit supplies the state the controller expects, so nothing appears and nothing is stored for later.
Öhlins Smart EC 2.0
The Factory's semi-active damping runs Öhlins' second generation control software, set up by objective rather than by counting clicks. It is genuinely easier to use.
A Longer Swingarm
The current Tuono gained length behind the engine, which transformed how it behaves under power on a bumpy road without costing anything anywhere else.
One Connector
Aprilia's own plug, no adapters, fitted while the rearset is already off.
Nothing Cut
The loom is untouched and the standard switch refits whenever it needs to.
Track Use
A registered motorcycle needs a working rear brake light, both legally and for the traffic behind it.
Reversible
Unplug it and everything returns to standard with nothing left behind.
Since 2002
Aprilia built the first Tuono by taking the fairing off an RSV Mille and fitting a wide bar, and every version since has followed the same principle without dilution. Two decades of doing one thing properly is why the model still beats bikes designed from a clean sheet.
