When Ducati launched the Diavel 1260 in 2019, it kept the recipe of the original, a low seat and a broad rear tyre, and added its Testastretta DVT engine with variable valve timing. It is also a bike that many owners share with a passenger at the weekend. With a second person on board, braking changes: more weight pushes forward, stops take longer, and smoothness becomes a courtesy as much as a technique. The Accossato EDF099 is a CNC-machined aluminium brake lever for the 2019 to 2022 Diavel 1260, with a reach you can adjust to suit.

Construction and Material Quality
The EDF099 divides its work between two zones of one machined piece. The hub, anodised black on every lever, holds the pivot bore and the adjuster that sets the resting position of the blade. The blade, anodised in the colour you choose, is where your fingers apply the force, and it runs without interruption to its end, because the lever has no hinge. Accossato mills the whole shape from solid aluminium on CNC machines, which keeps the section even and the edges cleanly cut, and the anodising then gives it a hard, coloured surface.
Two Up on the 1260
A passenger changes the braking of a Diavel 1260 more than most riders expect. The combined weight takes longer to stop, and every abrupt input is passed on as a nod of the helmet behind you. The answer is a progressive squeeze that starts gently and builds, and a progressive squeeze needs a lever that the fingers reach without stretching. With the adjuster you can set the blade a little closer for rides with a passenger, so the first contact comes early and the pressure can grow evenly over the whole stop.
For riders who like to brake with the whole hand when the bike is loaded, the long blade gives more leverage at the tip. It is made in blue, gold, green and orange; black and red come only in the standard length, and silver in standard and short.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the EDF099 for the Diavel 1260 across the 2019 to 2022 model years, the complete run of this generation before the Diavel V4 replaced it. The better-equipped Diavel 1260 S has its own listing. If you are unsure whether your bike is a 1260 or an earlier Diavel 1200, the model designation in the vehicle documents settles the question.
