DescriptionThe whole story▼
White mesh framed by black overlays makes the Sidi Lynx Air White/Black the lighter, bolder of the two Lynx Air colourways. Built for heat, this high-top riding sneaker uses a vented, high-tenacity fabric that lets air pass straight through, yet it still carries CE certification for motorcyclists' footwear.
It suits riders who take the bike to work from late spring to early autumn and would rather look like they are wearing trainers than boots once they arrive.

Construction and Materials
The upper is a mix of 55% polyester, 44% resin and 1% other materials. Sidi calls it a high-tenacity vented fabric with reinforced zones: the mesh areas breathe, while the smooth overlays add structure where the shoe takes the most abuse. Inside is a 100% polyester lining; the sole is 95% rubber and 5% polyamide. The shoe is made in China.
Lacing and Fit
A long lacing line and an elongated, anatomically shaped cut work together to hold the foot steady. According to Sidi, this lowers the chance that the foot shifts or slips inside the shoe during a fall. EU sizes 36 to 50 are available in White/Black, and the model is unisex. There is no published width information, so trying the shoe on before your first ride is a good idea.
Summer Riding
Sidi pitches the Lynx Air for warm days, city riding and commuting. Since there is no membrane, air reaches the foot directly through the mesh, which is exactly what you want in stop-and-go traffic in July. Sidi also highlights the low weight of the construction, giving a figure of about 547 grams without naming the size it was measured in.
Protection and Certification
The protective concept follows the same recipe as the Climadome model: Fortex, patented by Sidi and intended to handle the forces of an accident while allowing natural flex, plus CE-certified protectors and reinforced panels at the main impact and abrasion zones. The outcome is certification to EN 13634:2017; individual levels are not stated in the manufacturer's documentation.
Grip and Walking Comfort
Concrecto is the sole Sidi uses for this family. It is meant to provide grip and stability on the pegs and stay supple enough to walk in for the rest of the day, so the shoe does not feel like riding gear once you are off the bike.
What You Should Know
Not waterproof: there is no membrane, and the mesh will let water through in rain. The shoe ends below the shin, so it offers less coverage than a boot. White mesh is harder to keep clean than smooth black panels, especially after riding on wet roads. Sidi gives no reference size for the stated weight.
Colour
White/Black reverses the logic of the darker version: the mesh panels on the side and forefoot and the inner collar are white, while smooth black overlays form the toe cap, the heel counter, the eyestay and the collar edge. Black laces and a black pull loop at the heel complete the look, and the sole is white. The high-contrast pattern stands out more in traffic than an all-dark shoe and pairs well with light summer clothing. The flip side is maintenance: white mesh shows chain lube, road dust and rain spray quickly.
