A worn eye bearing is often mistaken for worn damping. The spherical bearing in an end eye lets the damper follow the linkage without side load. The end eye carries the entire load of the damper into the chassis, which is why it is machined rather than cast.

Genuine Service Part

Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Order under 21763-01. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. The published dimensions are dimension a 1.5 mm, dimension b 29 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. The end eye carries the entire load of the damper into the chassis, which is why it is machined rather than cast. Top eyes with an integrated preload adjuster are listed as one part.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21763-01

Category: End Caps

Dimension A: 1.5 mm

Dimension B: 29 mm

Thread: M35x1.5

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21763-01_ddd1d2d5-eb35-40b9-b0f7-dc3ef45d6aef.png?v=1788877798
