End caps close the tube and usually carry the adjusters and the gas valve. Spherical bearings in the eye let the damper move without binding as the linkage arcs. Öhlins machines the eye from the same billet as the body on many units.

Why the Original

Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do.

Getting the Number Right

15447-01 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. Öhlins states dimension a 1 mm, dimension b 18 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Öhlins machines the eye from the same billet as the body on many units. End caps close the tube and usually carry the adjusters and the gas valve.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15447-01

Category: End Caps

Dimension A: 1 mm

Dimension B: 18 mm

Thread: M51x1

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15447-01_9ae5794c-11e8-4a00-9d27-abe72a2c109a.png?v=1788878847
