DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Leatt Knee Brace Sleeve is not a protector. It is a stretch undersleeve that you wear between your leg and a knee brace, and its job is comfort and hold: it keeps the brace from rubbing on bare skin and helps stop it from slipping down.
The trick is the length. The sleeve is extra long, so you can fold it over the top and bottom of the brace, which reduces the risk of the brace creeping down the leg during a ride.
Key Features
- Undersleeve for knee braces, worn beneath the brace
- Extra-long cut folds over the brace at top and bottom
- Helps prevent the knee brace from slipping down
- Anti-odour MoistureCool wicking fabric for quick evaporation
- Flatlock stitching for extra comfort
- Sold as a pair, sizes S/M, L/XL and XXL
What it does
A knee brace sits on the leg with straps, and on bare skin it can chafe or slide. The sleeve goes on first, the brace goes on top, and then the extra length is folded over the upper and lower ends of the brace. That fold holds the brace in position and reduces the risk of it slipping.
Fabric and seams
Leatt uses MoistureCool, an anti-odour wicking fabric that moves sweat outwards for quick evaporation. According to Leatt's data the material is 80% polyester, 12% elastane, 4% polychloride and 4% other fibres. Flatlock stitching keeps the seams flat against the skin, so they do not press under the brace straps.
Sizes and pack
The sleeves come as a pair and in three sizes: S/M, L/XL and XXL. Choose the size that matches your brace and leg; the sleeve should sit smooth without wrinkles under the brace. Packaging is plastic-free.
Background reading
The only document Leatt attaches to the sleeve is its knee brace white paper, which explains how Leatt braces are designed to work.
What you should know
The Knee Brace Sleeve offers no impact protection and has no CE rating as a protector; it is an accessory. It does not include a brace. Leatt describes it for use under a knee brace in general; the product page does not limit it to a specific Leatt brace model.
Colour
Black matches the dark chassis of most knee braces and does not show through light pants. It also hides the marks that brace straps and hinges leave on the fabric over time.
