Öhlins at the Rear

A Hundred and Thirty Horsepower
The current RS makes more than any previous Street Triple, with a shorter first gear and a higher rev ceiling to match.
Air Injection, Briefly
Triumph feeds fresh air into the exhaust ports on a shut throttle so unburnt fuel finishes burning after the cylinder. The measurement improves and the engine notices nothing.
Keep the Valve
It refits with its own connector and it is worth something to the next owner. Nothing about this conversion damages it.
Not About Performance
Anybody expecting a power gain has misread what the system does. The valve is shut whenever the engine is working and open only when it is not.
Before Anything Else on a Build
Fuelling, exhausts and mapping all rest on the assumption that the engine is breathing what the sensors think it is breathing. This is the change that makes that assumption true.
