DescriptionThe whole story▼
Same engine, same tank, same EVAP plumbing as the faired 457 — and the same reason to remove it. JP ES 048 deletes the canister system on the Tuono 457 and keeps the dashboard clean afterwards.
Key Features
- For the Aprilia Tuono 457, 2024 through 2026
- Full EVAP removal: canister, purge valve and hoses
- Electronic purge valve eliminator included
- No ECU errors and no warning lights
- Plug-and-play, no wiring changes
- One part number shared with the RS 457
What Is Visible on a Naked Bike
On the RS, the canister and its hoses hide behind fairing panels. On the Tuono the area under and beside the tank is far more open, so the vapour plumbing is genuinely visible from the side. Removing it tidies the bike in a way the faired version does not benefit from.
Why It Cannot Simply Be Unplugged
The purge valve is not a passive component. The ECU energises it on a duty cycle and monitors the coil, so an unplugged connector is reported as a fault within seconds of the ignition going on. The electronic eliminator replicates that coil so the self-check passes and the system can leave the motorcycle entirely.
Keep the Parts
The canister assembly is bulky but light, and it is the first thing a buyer will ask about if the bike is ever sold as a road machine. It costs nothing to keep it in a box with the standard exhaust; it costs a good deal to source a replacement later.
Fitment and Compatibility
- Aprilia Tuono 457 (2024–2026)
Road Approval
None. Closed-circuit and competition use only.
Two Bikes, One Part
Aprilia built the RS 457 and the Tuono 457 on a single platform with a single fuel system, so the canister delete carries one part number for both. In practice that means a rider moving from the faired bike to the naked one — a common enough path in this class — keeps the part rather than buying it twice.
