DescriptionThe whole story▼
A Triumph Tiger Sport 1050 with panniers and a passenger is a fine way to cross a continent, and on such a trip the rear brake earns its keep. For the Tiger Sport 1050 of 2015 to 2019, Accossato lists rear pad AGPA76, and this version uses the Sintered (ST) compound. It is intended for riders who tour far and in all conditions, and who want the rear pedal to feel the same on a cold wet morning and on a hot mountain descent.
Key Features
- Sintered (ST) rear pad AGPA76
- For the Triumph Tiger Sport 1050, 2015-2019
- Accossato: constant, high grip at every temperature and good bite on a wet disc
- For two-up sports touring
- Reliable pedal feel in rain
- Two pads per box, one rear caliper
- Organic (OR) version also made
Construction and Material Quality
The Sintered compound, Accossato says, holds a high and constant grip whether it runs hot or cold and grips well in the wet. For a sports tourer covering long distances with a load, that makes the rear brake predictable in every condition. The company's general claims, slow wear, fade resistance through controlled heat and strong stopping power, also apply.
Two-Up Across Borders
Sports touring on a Tiger Sport 1050 often means long days at a good pace, with a passenger and luggage adding weight at the back. The rear brake becomes more effective with that weight over it, and riders use it to settle the bike into corners and to keep things calm on steep, winding descents. When the weather turns, the rear disc stays wet for hours, and a compound designed for wet grip keeps the pedal trustworthy. Riders who keep their Tiger Sport 1050 on the road through autumn and winter will value this consistency. For solo commuting, OR is the softer option.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA76 for the rear of the Tiger Sport 1050 from 2015 to 2019. At the front, AGPA38 is listed for the same bike and for the earlier Tiger 1050 of 2007 to 2013. Before a long trip, check rear pad thickness and disc condition, top up the fluid if needed, and rinse the caliper after riding on salted roads.
Road Approval
We have no German ABE or test documents for AGPA76ST in our records. It is offered for competition use.
