DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Accossato CNC-worked 19x18 is a flagship radial brake master cylinder built around a 19 mm piston, a size Accossato specifies for dual-disc front brake systems where two callipers need to be applied evenly. The 18 mm pivot distance is fixed and described as suited to track use while also being recommended on the road. In place of a conventional lever, this unit is fitted with the Revolution Lever, which changes its feel by adding or removing small inserts rather than by sliding the pivot point, and is supplied in seven colours.
Key Features
- 19 mm piston diameter, suitable for dual-disc braking systems
- 18 mm lever pivot distance for track use, also recommended for street riding
- Revolution Lever, adjustable by adding or removing inserts, available in seven colours
- CNC-machined aluminium body with natural anodising
- Offset riser that limits master cylinder flex under hard braking
- Passive lever stroke cut by more than 50 percent compared with a standard radial master cylinder
- Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
- Seals manufactured from Formula 1 compound material
Construction and Material Quality
As an Accossato flagship product, the CNC-worked 19x18 is machined from aluminium billet in Italy and finished with natural anodising. The fasteners are stainless steel, the bleed valve is zinc-plated steel, and the seals inside the unit are made from Formula 1 compound so they keep sealing properly through repeated heat cycles and contact with brake fluid. An offset riser built into the clamp limits bending of the master cylinder body under hard braking, and the internal geometry is designed so the passive stroke, the travel before the pads actually start to bite, is reduced by more than half compared with a conventional radial unit.
How the Revolution Lever Works
Rather than sliding along a track of fixed pivot points, the Revolution Lever changes its characteristics by the rider adding or removing small inserts inside the lever body itself, which alters how the lever translates hand movement into piston travel. This gives a different feel to the three position pivot system used elsewhere in the Accossato range while aiming at the same goal, letting the rider set up the front brake for a given bike, tyre or riding style. With the 19 mm piston matched to dual-disc systems and a lever pivot fixed at 18 mm, the insert-based adjustment is the way this particular unit is tuned once it is fitted.
Fitment and Compatibility
Our fitment data ties this master cylinder to 65 motorcycles across Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki, among them the Aprilia RSV4 RF (2015-2023), BMW S1000RR (2009-2023), Ducati Panigale V4 (2018-2023), Honda CBR 1000 RR (2008-2019) and Kawasaki ZX-10 RR (2016-2023). You will find every confirmed model and its exact production years in the Fitment tab on this page, which is worth checking against your registration document before you buy.
Road Approval
This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
The package includes the Accossato CNC-worked 19x18 radial brake master cylinder fitted with the Revolution Lever in the colour selected, finished in natural anodised aluminium.
