DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a motocross bike, the rear brake is used constantly: to settle the bike into corners, to control speed on downhills and to steer with the rear wheel. For the Yamaha YZ125, Accossato lists the rear pad AGPP106 from 2003 to 2026, and offers it in the Organic compound, SKU AGPP106OR. This version suits riders who practise on dry, hard-packed tracks at a moderate pace and want a soft, predictable pedal.
Key Features
- Organic (OR) rear pad, SKU AGPP106OR
- Yamaha YZ125, 2003 to 2026
- Accossato: long performance and low disc wear
- Soft, predictable pedal
- For practice on dry tracks
- Two pads for the rear caliper
- Front pads AGPA110 and AGPA288, discs DK111, DK268, DK269 listed
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato says the Organic compound provides lasting performance while limiting wear on the disc. On the rear of a YZ125 used for practice, that keeps maintenance low. We describe the compound as Accossato does and say nothing about the ingredients.
Learning to Use the Rear Brake
Good motocross riders use the rear brake to steer the bike into a corner, to shorten the approach to a jump and to keep the bike straight on a downhill. Learning those skills on a YZ125 is easier with a rear pad that responds progressively to small pedal inputs. The Organic compound gives that kind of control on dry tracks. Younger riders moving up from a smaller bike especially benefit, because a rear brake that locks too easily makes it hard to learn how much pressure a corner needs. For wet and muddy conditions, Accossato offers this rear pad in ST and STMX as well.
Fitment and Compatibility
Few pads cover a model for as long as AGPP106: Accossato lists it for the back wheel of the Yamaha YZ125 from 2003 right through to 2026. The rear brake has one caliper, so one box fits it. Two front shapes exist for the same bike, AGPA110 for 2008 to 2021 and AGPA288 for 2021 to 2026, and the catalogue adds the discs DK111, DK268 and DK269. On a practice bike, the rear caliper sits low and catches a lot of dust, so take it off the disc at every pad change, brush it out and check that the piston slides back without force. Pump the pedal afterwards until the travel is short and firm.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or approval document for this rear pad. It is offered for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
