On a light dual-sport bike like the Yamaha XT250, the rear brake is used a lot: on loose surfaces, at walking pace and on slopes. For the XT250 of the 2008 to 2022 model years, Accossato offers the rear pad AGPP99 in the Organic compound, SKU AGPP99OR. It is designed for riders who use the bike on streets, lanes and easy dirt roads and want a smooth, controllable pedal that gives them confidence at low speed and keeps wear on the rear disc low.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes its Organic compound as long-lasting and gentle on the disc. On the rear of an XT250, which sees frequent, light use, that combination reduces the need for maintenance. We make no statements about the composition of the pad beyond Accossato's description.
Slow Riding on Loose Ground
On gravel or a grassy slope, the rear brake is often the safest way to slow a small bike, because locking the front wheel on a loose surface is easy to do. A gentle rear pad lets the rider control speed with small movements of the foot. The Organic compound gives that kind of feel on the XT250 and stays quiet on tarmac too. It suits new riders, farm use and trips along forest roads at a relaxed pace. For riders who often ride in wet mud, the Sintered rear pad is the alternative.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP99 for the rear of the Yamaha XT250 from 2008 to 2022, catalogued as XT 250. One box fits the single rear caliper. For the front of the XT250, Accossato offers AGPA24 for the same years. When changing the rear pads, check the disc for scoring, clean dirt from the caliper and piston, and press the pedal several times until the brake is firm again.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or test certificate for this rear pad in our files. It is sold for racing and competition use.
