DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Yamaha WR 125R is a lightweight single-cylinder dual-purpose bike, and for many riders it is their first motorcycle: ridden to school or work on weekdays, sometimes onto a farm track at the weekend. Accossato lists its AGPP91 rear pad for the WR 125R from 2009 to 2016, and this listing is the Organic (OR) compound. It suits learners and daily riders who want a soft, predictable rear brake and a rear disc that lasts.
Key Features
- AGPP91 rear pad, Organic (OR) compound
- For the Yamaha WR 125R, 2009 to 2016
- Gentle, easily controlled pedal response
- Accossato: long performance and low disc wear
- Quiet for commuting and town riding
- One box for the rear caliper
- ST and STMX versions also listed
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's description of the Organic compound mentions two things: long-lasting performance and limited wear on the disc. For a light learner bike used every day, those are sensible priorities. Accossato's broader aims of low wear, fade resistance and strong braking apply to all its pads.
A Learner's Rear Brake
New riders tend to use the rear brake more than experienced ones, and sometimes more firmly than necessary. An organic pad on the WR 125R is forgiving in that situation, because it responds gradually rather than locking the rear wheel at the first heavy press. It is also quiet, making it pleasant for town riding and daily commutes. Because the WR 125R is often used by riders on a budget, a pad that protects the disc from rapid wear is a practical choice. Riding schools often prefer a gentle, predictable brake like this for training.
If You Ride Off-Road More
If the WR 125R spends much of its time on dirt tracks, the STMX version is the one intended for mud and dust, while ST suits wet road riding.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP91 for the WR 125R from 2009 to 2016. The rear uses one caliper, so one box is sufficient. Accossato also offers the DK031 brake disc for this bike. When changing pads, clean the pistons before pressing them back, check disc thickness and fluid level, and pump the pedal until firm. Bed the new pads in gradually with gentle stops.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE or test mark available to us for this pad. It is sold for track and competition use.
