DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a small single-cylinder bike like the Triumph Scrambler 400 X, the rear brake gets plenty of use at low speed. Riders lean on it to hold the bike still on a hill start, to trim speed in a car park and to keep things tidy when a U-turn gets tight. The Accossato AGPP91 rear pad in the Organic (OR) compound is catalogued for the Scrambler 400 X from 2024 to 2026 and suits owners who ride mostly around town, value a quiet brake and want the rear disc to last.
Key Features
- Organic (OR) rear pads, Accossato article AGPP91OR
- Rear position on the Triumph Scrambler 400 X, 2024 to 2026
- For town riding, slow manoeuvres and everyday trips
- Accossato quotes long service life and reduced disc wear
- Two pads in the box for the one rear caliper
- Same shape also sold in ST and STMX
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato builds the AGPP91 in three friction materials, and this one is the organic mix. The maker credits it with performance that lasts and with limited wear on the disc it runs against. In the rear caliper of a light roadster that is mostly used for gentle, frequent stops, those are the qualities that count. Organic material does not need heat to work well, so it bites from the very first press of the pedal on a cold morning.
Slow Speed Control
Tight turns at walking pace are one of the harder skills to master on any motorcycle. The standard advice is to keep a little throttle on, look where you want to go and control the speed with light rear brake. On the Scrambler 400 X, whose upright position and wide bars already make slow riding easier, a rear pad with a soft, progressive response supports that technique well. Practise in an empty car park, and keep an eye on pad thickness when you service the chain.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPP91 for the rear of the Triumph Scrambler 400 X, model years 2024 to 2026. One rear caliper means one box. The AGPA184 is the matching front pad for the same model and years. If the bike spends more time in rain or on dirt, the AGPP91 also comes as Sintered and as Off-road sintered.
Road Approval
We have no ABE and no road inspection certificate for this pad. It is sold for circuit and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
