For owners of the 2014 to 2017 Zero DS who ride trails as well as roads, Accossato offers the AGPP91 rear pad in the Off-road sintered (STMX) compound. The company calls it its compound for off-road riders. It fits the ZF8.5 and ZF11.4 of 2014, the ZF9.4 and ZF12.5 of 2015 and the ZF9.8 and ZF13.0 of 2016 and 2017, and it suits riders who regularly bring their electric bike home covered in mud.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's STMX is made for the dirt, and the company defines it by that purpose. In the AGPP91 for the older DS, it gives the rear caliper a pad designed for contaminated, abrasive conditions, with the durability and fade resistance of the whole range. Accossato's roots in off-road riding go back to an Enduro World Championship title in 1985. Two pads come in each box, one set for the caliper.
Trail Days on an Older DS
A rear brake that sits in the spray of the rear tyre on muddy trails needs regular care. After each off-road outing, rinse the caliper, remove any stones and let it dry. Check that the pedal returns fully and the pads are not sticking. An off-road compound handles dirt better, but the caliper still depends on this routine to work properly.
Choosing a Version
For road riding in all weathers, the ST version of the AGPP91 is the alternative; the OR suits dry commuting. STMX is for DS owners who spend real time on mud, sand and gravel.
Fitment and Compatibility
Trail riders with an early DS are in luck: one rear shape serves the whole 2014 to 2017 run, from the smallest ZF8.5 battery to the ZF13.0. The newer 2024 bike needs the AGPA29, which Accossato also lists in STMX. For the front brake, look at the AGPA92 on 2015 to 2017 bikes and the AGPA96 on the 2024 model.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE or approval document for this pad on file with us. It is sold for off-road competition and private land.
